China could easily fix all their problems... but honestly, they're just too cheap to do anything about it because the expense of installing all their water treatment plants and installing environmentally friendly procedures is tremendous. Environment is only one of China's problems.Honestly, i think the government of China is a corrupt and evil government. It's a perfect example of a good idea (Communism) gone absolutely wrong.

a wonderful protest sentiment but it really wont matter wether its a communist government or not. the corruption will remain. the only difference with the current regime is that it could kill all of the corrupt if it wanted to, a democratic society could not.

Corruption won't end until the Chinese goverment and its communist slavery is crushed and overthrown. China's overpopulation, its pollution and its dirty coal mines are destroying the world, anything for a buck, they will kill kids, destroy the environment, practice massive cruelty on animals, there's no limit to their depravity. There's no way to change those fat headed diseased criminals in China's goverment other than revolution. Filthy country.

The corruption of minor officials is a major part of this problem. they take the bribes and kickbacks that allow polluters to ignore the laws. An old style purge of these officials may help some but the central government should be acting more than they are. These village problems are sowing seeds that could directly threaten their rule and should be paying closer attention to the problem.

china's companies do a lot of the same things as western companies in 3rd world countries. However china makes it's own people suffer. Think Dow Chemicals in India, or Dole in the Dominican Republics. The problem is not the just the government, but the greed that overlooks basic safety standards for profit. I hope she can win in court, and if not, I hope the people take to the streets.

Very sad situation. China's people are nice but the corruption is rife there. However look at that lawyer she's doing something to help those people. God bless her!
