next time you buy something "Made in China", think twice: do you want to support a government that is killing our planet?!
nhnth (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
we have to stop the chinese communists before they stop the world.

Come on, the BBC is a way of supplying propoganda, yes but it is true there are many countries that have severe pollution problems, China, America and the UK... Only to mention a few, there are many many more.. If we are even going to start to resolve any problem then we all must agree that we have a problem here!
reddesertsands (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Great: we, they, you.... Come on now play nice!!! Otherwise you may end up sounding like a Schizophrenic mainac!

Fair comment!!!This is true, look at the US rivers and lakes for example, companies are dumping their waste there, polluting the waterways as an example... But do not forget this is also happening in China, whats the moral to this story? Companies and governements MUST GO!!! The people are the power. Without the people there is no governement... SO why doesn't the governements care about the people???
reddesertsands (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
You think China's governement is bad? Look at home too my friend, cant you see the trend infront of your own eyes? The US citizens are losing their rights man; for example their rights to a good education, their rights to good health care, which should be free, their rights to their privacy, their rights when it comes to knowing where the tax payers money goes to.. Dude wake up noone is winning here, governments around the world are closing the noose around all our necks, slowly but surely..
reddesertsands (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
And there we have it, people fighting and arguing over who is better than the other, when really don't you think we should all be looking at resolving the bigger picture here? No who is better or who is worse than the other... but rather what can we do together to resolve the main issues! Man I am tired of all this fighting.... Makes me sick to the stomach and reminds me of kindergarten play ground, whos daddy has a better, job, car, house blah blah!!!!!

A barrel floating in the ocean will grow a seaweed farm. It would be easy to create rainforest sized algae farms mid ocean. The seaweed farms would photosynthesis, as well as the lifeforms themselves would be made of carbon.Cheap. Proactive. Harmless. Also mid ocean seaweed (algae) farms could be towed to counties in need for emergency food fuel.No downside.Build seaweed farms from shore and tow them out to sea and anchor them. Polluting companies could sponsor the low costs.Win Win Win
